About me!

Hi I’m Jules!

I’m glad you found me! I am a dancer, actor, singer currently based in Nashville. I am a Fall 2025 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University where I studied Dance and Musical Theatre. I love making people smile through The Arts and I feel blessed to spend my life doing so! Feel free to read more about me!

My start: I was born and raised in a tiny town, just thirty minutes north of Nashville, TN, and two months later I was on a tour bus with my family! I spent the first eight years of my life on tour as my family played in a Bluegrass band, and I cultivated a love for The Arts more with each day that I got to witness live performance. I began (inconsistent) Ballet classes at the age of four, sang along side my family at Dollywood at the age of six, and by seven, I auditioned for and was cast in my first movie. All of these separate events led me to this beautiful career!

What I studied: In college, I studied Dance with a focus in Performance & Choreography,  and studied Musical Theatre along side my major! The styles of dance that I have been able to train in are; Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Partnering & Lifts, Aerial silks, Heels, and clogging! Vocally, my training is based in classical technique as well as musical theatre!

My Vibe: I am a true old soul, and my tastes reflect it. Some of my favorite things are; my vintage jazz playlists, baking pies, gardening flowers, color coordinating my clothes, and of course, nights in watching a movie with my fiance!

Artist's Statement

The thing that I love most about art is the audience. While a typical day for a performer might at times become strenuous or monotonous, the audience will always bring a performer back to life. With every opportunity that I get to perform to an audience, I imagine their lives, what their day has looked like, what story they need to hear at this particular performance. Is this a couple's first date? Or perhaps it is the 60th anniversary of a couple who built a tradition of seeing a live production on their anniversary. Did someone work harder for a few weeks in order to afford a ticket to tonight's performance? Did someone dress up special and get to feel nicer than they have felt in months? Are parents getting to take a young child to experience the magic of live performance for the first time– and, what impression is that child going to be left with? Are we inspiring a young audience member to pursue a career in this field of magic? Or are we simply brightening the day of someone who needed a little bit of sparkle in their life. These very real people with specific thoughts, attributes, characteristics and stories– this audience is why I do what I do.

I find that the art of live performance, whether musical theatre, straight theater, or concert dance, is different from any other form of art. I am consistently astounded by the blessing it is to have an audience that cares– an audience that is on the edge of their seat– an audience that cares about every word that escapes your lips. How rare is it that we as humans get to have one person, let alone an entire audience listen to everything that we have to say? If a school teacher is teaching, students daydream, if a movie is playing, a viewer may pause to send a text, a corporate trainer may have a meeting and the employees may begin to think of their grocery list, or a congregation may think of what they want for lunch while a pastor is preaching, but live performance.. live performance has the unique and beautiful experience of capturing an audience's attention and telling a story. That is why I am so passionate, and why I believe we should all be passionate about what stories we tell. Nothing we say goes unnoticed, no facial expression, reaction or movement is unintentional and everything we do can affect the way the audience perceives our stories, and what an immense blessing that is.
